Our turducken roast is comprised of juicy turkey thigh meat that is wrapped in bacon and then stuffed with boneless, skinless chicken and duck breast within an Italian sausage stuffing mixture. There is no special preparation required. Each roast is pre-spiced and ready for the oven. Defrost in the fridge for 3 to 4 days and then it’s ready to bake. The 7 lb roast feeds up to 10. Handling: Within the box you may find dry ice. Always handle dry ice with care and use a protective cloth or leather gloves whenever touching it. An oven mitt or towel will work. If touched briefly it is harmless, but prolonged contact with the skin will cause injury similar to a burn. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN. Preparation and Cooking Tips: The Echelon Foods Bacon-wrapped Turducken Roast is delivered frozen. You can thaw it in the fridge for 3 to 4 days or rapid thaw in cool water for 24 hours before cooking. Since it comes pre-seasoned, cooking is as simple as picking your desired method and following the instructions. The most popular cooking method is low temperature cooking in a conventional oven but you can also cook via a barbecue or a slow cooker/crock pot. The low temperature cooking method takes 4 to 5 hours to cook. Cook at 220 degrees for 3 hours, then turn up to 350 degrees for final 1.5 hours (until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees).
